Mariachi Mexico Amigo
Jorge Lopez formed his Mariachi Band, Mexico Amigo, in 1987 due to a lack of authentic Mariachi music in Canada.
Since then, Mexico Amigo has evolved into a fan-favourite ensemble bringing an exciting, vivid representation of Mexican culture & music to life with authentic costumes, instrumentation & extensive repertoire.

Caifanes Tribute
A powerhouse of musicians come together to pay tribute to legendary Mexican act Caifanes.
Alexis Von Kraven is behind the drumkit, while Oscar Rangel rounds out the rhythm section on bass. Angel & Andres Pedret on guitars with Saul Torres on vocals.
This rocking tribute with awesome musicians is coming together for the first time just for Sept 15!

Ballet Puro Mexico
Jezreel Vazquez is a native of Mexico City & began his studies of Mexican folklore at the age of nine, later enrolled at the National Institute of Fine Arts & was an award-winning choreographer.

Ballet Folklorico Puro Mexico was founded in 2003 & has performed all around Toronto & beyond. With over 40 members, Puro Mexico continues to teach, perform & celebrate Mexican culture.

Los Grandes del Norte
Bringing the Norteno sound to Canada, Los Grandes del Norte started as a group of friends playing together before picking up steam & bringing their high energy, rhythm heavy sounds to the city.

Combining elements of pop, cumbia & traditional songs into their Norteno sound, Los Grandes are a fan favourite & bring a unique flavour to Toronto stages.

Rosy Cervantes
Rosy is a singer, songwriter, actor & composer of Mexican origin. She studied with Julio Garcia, a prominent Mexican professor. In 2002 she founded the musical project "La Sana Rabia" & performs solo as easily as she does with a band mixing contemporary as well as traditional songs.

Rosy has been awarded for her social justice efforts & has won grants from the Toronto Arts Council for musical projects.

Jaime Elizondo
Jaime has been performing since childhood & has a fond love of classic Mexican Ranchero songs while performing in iconic charro outfits complete with trademark sombrero.

He has authored of a number of original compositions & is well known in the community & is a crowd favourite with his engaging performances.

Grupo Tonatiuh
‘Tonatiuh’ is the God of the sun in the Aztec language, but the name was chosen in honour of a dance professor.
The group was created in 2001 by Luz Adriana Castillo, a dancer from the Mexican School of Folkloric Dance in Mexico City. In 2012, she decided to start dancing & teaching again with a focus on children with a mission to pass on Mexican tradition & history through dance.

Luis Maldonado
Luis started singing at age nine & once he landed in Toronto in 2019, he started to find his footing. He was part of Mariachi los Gallos with some friends & has since gone on to perform throughout the city with the support of many others in the Mexican community.

Watch for Luis around town as he continues his musical journey representing his roots of San Juan del Rio & Quertaro.

Roberto Pena Sommer
Roberto Pena Sommer has performed on stages around the world & not only actively performs, but has also been a professor, helped found concert orchestras & won awards for his playing globally.
​
His love of violin & classical music shows as he represents both his Mexican & Swiss heritage across the world.

Catrinas
Maria Jose Miranda has been a champion of Mexican culture in Toronto since 1994. She's directed award winning dance groups in the city & most recently has turned her graphic design skills towards the Day of the Dead inspired makeup & wardrobe.

The popular sugar skull style of makeup is a year-round passion as well as a highlight of special events.
